I work as a Wildlife Guide, based in the Cairngorms National Park. My work is somewhat varied in that I take guests to a range of habitats to search for an array of species. Personally, my favourite species to search for is the Golden Eagle due to their majesty and elusive nature. Away from guiding, I actively deploy camera traps to monitor the behaviour and abundance of mammals. Having previously used camera traps to monitor species such as Jaguar in South America, I have conducted further research in the UK. My main research interest is how we can improve these devices to monitor species both in the UK and further afield.
